Re: Dell made a gamble and lost badly..

I suggest you take a little time and look at Dell's
business fundamentals, what they do and how they do it.

Understand why they are currently not selling AMD
chips to their corporate base of clients. It has nothing
to do with performance. There is a whole business world
with needs and demands (customers who don't like
changes or care for an xtra few % benchmark scores)
that the average consumer cant even begin to comprehend.

That's not to say Dell will never sell AMD chips. When
the time is right as dictated by business conditions
I believe they will without a doubt -- probably to
the consumer market first.

Also understand how Q3 has historically worked.

It's backend loaded and very hard to predict within
a +/-3% accuracy.

Plus, please comb through Dell's last 20++ 10Q's.
Scroll to the bottom line and show me just where
they have lost badly.

If you are pointing to the stock price as evidence
that they have lost badly, then so has Intel, AMD
Microsoft, Apple and soon to be <insert your favorite
high flyer here> who are all 50%+ off of their highs.
