Bill, thanks for the link. Competition is sure to come. However, Kopin is pumping out 200k displays a month and finding a home for every one of them. I believe they have 60% of the camcorder market already. They are using them in digital cameras. They just inked a contract with the Defense Department to use one of their most advanced CyberDisplay products in the Commanchie(sp.) program. A new facility will be coming on line this year. By the way, the patented process they use is one of the reasons why the competition will have difficulty overcoming the large lead time they enjoy. Kopin is not a one pony show.(wafers, optical) Check out the Kopin web site. Great leadership in Dr. Fan. Its my belief that first to the market with a difficult technology to enter is hard to overcome. It took Kopin over ten years to develop their CyberDisplay. Sure they will have competition but I believe Kopin will, if not already, be the winner.
