COM DEV Wireless and Westel Announce Systems Integrator Agreement

RICHARDSON, TX, Oct. 5 /CNW/ - Officials with COM DEV Wireless, a
division of COM DEV International Ltd. (TSE: CDV), have signed a systems
integrator agreement with Westel Wireless Systems, a fully-owned subsidiary of
Westel Group Limited (Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: WSG). Under the
agreement, Westel Wireless Systems will market COM DEV Base Stations and
integrate them for customers in Eastern Europe and Asia. COM DEV Wireless
designs and manufactures leading edge radio systems and subsystems for
wireless, cellular telephone and PCS systems. Westel offers advanced systems
project management and systems integration of wireless telecommunications
projects for telecom carriers and emergency service organizations.
"As a leader in Wireless RF telecommunication systems and subsystems, we
are pleased to provide Westel with our IS-136 Base Stations," said Roger
Boivin, President, COM DEV Wireless. "Westel has an established base of
customers and many have indicated a preference for purchasing Base Stations as
part of an integrated system. COM DEV Wireless looks forward to helping Westel
fulfill that demand."
Westel also purchases switches from TELOS Engineering, which recently
signed a strategic supply agreement with COM DEV. These switches will be
integrated with COM DEV Wireless Base Stations.
