Antiwar.com hacked again!
Antiwar.com was hacked on Sunday, and stayed down until around 8 pm (Pacific Standard Time) on Monday – in case you didn't notice. The site was back up, for a few minutes, on Monday, but the culprit(s) were laying in wait, and they pounced as soon as we were up. According to Joe Vigorito, the manager of our ISP, Eagle-Net, the hackers took credit for their deed in a message to him, claiming to be Bulgarians who were incensed, or so they said, because Antiwar.com is "communist."
According to Vigorito, the hackers threatened to do it again – indeed, they vowed to keep doing it as long as we insist on coming back up again. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been called in – now, doesn't that make you feel better? – and that is where matters now stand.
Our regular readers know we've been through this before, and they also know that we came back bigger and better than ever. In the course of claiming responsibility, the hackers vowed that they'd be back again and again. We're just going to have to build those security fences higher, and thicker. Thanks so much for staying with us.
