ECB Duisenberg raises interest rates for Europe

this was my fear, this is now a reality
the US Federal Reserve refused to lower rates, refused to step back from tightening bias
the pressure has been on the Euro currency for some time
the pressure will not let up
esp now with the Fed maintaining its ill-advised position

so the European Central Bank raised rates
when their economy is teetering toward recession
when its currency is weak and weakening further
Europe needed badly for the US to loosen its tight monetary policy
now they have to push their continent closer to recession

this latest move should shore up the Euro currency
but it will push them closer to recession

bad move, Fed, bad move
this is what you get
more European economic slowdown could be what convinces the Fed to see the errors of its ways
then we hear of looser interest rates, looser bias
