>>>the stain on the Republic is the willingness of people like you to go to any lengths to defend William Jefferson Clinton.........<<<
No, the stain on America comes from the marvel team-up of that conservative law foundation Glavin headed, together with behind-the-scenes operative, Lucien Goldberg who coopted Linda Tripp into betraying her friend Monica, in order to unfairly stack the deck for Ken Starr's questioning of Clinton during the Paula Jones civil trial, a matter which never should have seen the light of day in the first place. Me thinks the Supreme Court gravely erred when it opened the door and allowed the Paula Jones case to move forward during the term of Clinton's presidency.
Neocon, it comes down like this:
First, Clinton made a big mistake with the Monica affair, as most human beings inherently do when attempting to gloss over a sexual indescretion. You are wrong to camp me as a defender of Clinton. I'm not!
Secondly, the Republicans made a more serious mistake for the nation when, in effect, it atempted to make a mountain from a molehill, and doing this while relying on spurious characters, all in order to placate a giant smear on Clinton. If the Republicans didn't stain the nation, how come no impreachment house managers were featured as heroes at the Republican Convention? You'd think given the gravity of this battle, they'd get a gracious heads-up from the party. They didn't. Interestingly, they too got spurned as Republicans switched tactics. Am I right? |
