I don't agree with you. AB did not intentionally mislead shareholders.

As of April 10th things were on track to make the quarter. Last year March showed the seasonality of the VCD market. This year orders were strong through March but suddenly mid April the orders started getting pushed out. Slowly it became apparent that the quarter was in trouble. Hints were dropped to the analysts that their numbers were too high. The numbers were starting to come down to the .35 range. Then the problem with the CL484 that I posted about, halted a couple of production lines two weeks ago, as it turned out the chip didn't really have a problem but time is money.

It took a very astute (new) CFO to convinced the executive staff that something needed to be done now not later. At the time the shit hit the fan Alex was in China and Japan. The staff had to wait until Alex came back to present the scenarios they were faced with. It looks to me like they made the decision to go with the worst case scenario. Hopefully that means we move forward from here.

I think they were in denial (as were some of us). How could a little piece of shit company like ESS eat their lunch in VCD anyway?
I think they are out of denial now, the bad news is out and we'll just have to see how the recovery goes.
