Sonny, Gerald is right on!! Use zonealarm. That is what the guys around here use. It is fairly easy to configure. As you surf it will prompt you if you want certain services to be allowed on your machine. It will also tell you when someone is trying to get at your machine and you can then kick them off. I'm off to a meeting and will catch up with you later. Ann P.S. after reading the rest of the posts. The first thing I would check with you 98 is if your on the most current version.
