The likelihood is that this is indeed what has happened. Markets are overreacting to this information from Dell.

Consider the fact that INTC warned and it killed the markets, but AMD is in fine fettle. Considering that CPQ gets most of their chips from AMD, I'd say that's a good sign that this is pure overreaction.
