By the way, I'm spending some time searching the DELL website. So far I've looked at 'Desktops' and 'Laptops'.

ALL of them come standard with MSFT software and the Windows Me OS. None of them that I can find are available with Linux. DELL states the following in the OS description of these products.

"Includes Windows Millennium Edition – the home version of the world’s favorite software"

I'll keep looking, and am certain that Linux is available on some of the servers. When I get to it I'll post my opinion on the cost difference between an empty box (linux version) and a complete package (Win OS).
