Here in silicon valley, public schools based in affluent areas such as palo alto, los altos, los gatos, cupertino are as good as ANY private school.

My kids go to a private school in Sunnyvale, which is not only inexpensive, but much better than the public schools in my fairly affluent neighborhood.

Interestingly enough, they are among the very few American born children in the school. This also holds true for Cupertino public schools, which are heavily populated with Asians.
