I just spoke with MSGI's investor relations---Jamie Karlin, to be specific. I expressed my displeasure and my belief that MSGI was rather deceitful in touting wired empire's ongoing successes, while obviously planning its demise. She stated that WE was about 1% of the company and basically implied that it was burning cash. She stated that they are working on other analysts for coverage and that she feels that the current analyst's models for MSGI's earnings need to be modified.
It was essentially a pleasant conversation in which she said nothing of any real use. She said she can not comment on earnings at present.
Of note, her first comment was that MSGI did nothing illegal. My response was that while nothing may be have been illegal, MSGI's approach has been shady, underhanded, and deceitful, and communication has been woefully inadequate. I told her that the CEO's reputation has been sullied and that they are not a trustworthy organization, for what it is worth.
I think MSGI will smolder for a while and for those who are in at a low $$ amount, we will eventually see a breakeven point. The $60s is a long (read VERY LONG) way off. If the market and internets pick up I hope to see the 6-8 range within 6 months (at which point I will be at an acceptable loss range and outta here). Good luck all. WDB
