Sonny ---Good Afternoon ----I guess it is all relative( Nasdaq down again ) ---hope the DSL saga is finally coming around . We will be getting it in our area by January ---then I will have an expert ( someone who has a lot of experience ) to call upon .
It is really interesting :
1)Greenspan credits technology with keeping inflation under control by increasing productivity
2)Greenspan has raise interest rates to the point that they are effecting earnings of a lot of the technology companies
3)I guess this means that the old economy stocks will have less money to spend on technology which will decrease productivity

Seems to me the gentleman is shooting himself in the foot or we are having a sea change away from PC"S to communications type's of technology issues .
I think the only issue that Greenspan is truly fighting is stock market appreciation and full employment . Would not be suprising to see the un-employment rate higher tomorrow morning . I really have a hard time believing what Greenspan says anymore .
By the way on OIL I saw an interesting statistic on it the other day . We as a country used 16.7 million barrels of oil in 1974 with a population of less than 200 million . Today we are using 19.4 million barrels of oil with a population of 275 million . Sounds to me if we had an energy policy we could cut the usage in half from foreign sources . It sure is not because of the big SUV's that OPEC would have us believed that the usage has increase dramatically .
Hope things work out soon with the DSL ---Glad to have you back
Now if i can find Yaacov and sell him some use Firestone tires for his FIAT . If Yaacov reads this I hope the issue in Serbia ends with the old guard out and the possibility of peace in the region

BEST WISHES
BILL
