Interesting comment about Christopher ...

... Hitchens' British accent ...

Specifically, your reaction to just that, correct? Have you any familiarity with him before seeing him on TV last night?

Just asking ... I had never heard of him until his "Hardball" appearance, but have learned since that this is because I don't typically follow politics at all.

Good friend of mine from college -- who will incidentally appear on CSPAN from 8-8:30 p.m. tonight is political journalist -- told me via email this morning that Hitchens has long skewered Clinton, 'with a stiletto; not a broadax,' in my friend's words ... I never get anything out of my friend about his own views, BTW -- because of his required objectivity -- he agreed with me only in the regard that Hitchens' is a 'hoot' in his artful expression ... that kind of thing.

Therefore, my reaction (to his British accent) was precisely the opposite of yours.

The obvious fact that Hitchens is NOT originally from the U.S. probably provides him a unique objectivity over and above U.S.-based political journalists, analysts, pundits.

LOL.

What a circus. Worse ... or is it? ... than financial markets.
