David - Re:" IDT C6" Thanks for the analysis - it was well thought out. The chip has made some compromises, but it is mre complete than I originally guessed - Integer, FPU and MMX units are all included. Assuming the chip works properly, I would have to say that this is an engineering marvel - possibly surpassing the K6 - as far as die size and time to design (I am ignoring performance issues for now). However, we will have to see how they plan to sell the chip. As you know Making it is one thing, selling it is another. But - I'm impressed by their achievement. Paul
