The dual core Sledgehammer will have a shared L2, reducing the cache coherency overhead usually incurred by a dual processor system. Maybe they'll be able to get a single core McKinly to run at as fast a clock as a dual core Sledgehammer - then it will have almost half the performance. But I do expect Sledgehammer to face McKinley - not Itanic. Dan
