<<You say that PCLN does nothing its suppliers can't do, well, AMZN does nothing that its suppliers can't do. We can say the same thing for Coca Cola, too. >>

No we can't Rod. Coke has the most respected brand name in the world. People who use PCLN are either lukewarm about it or hate PCLN based on their experience with it. PCLN also has many, many formal complaints filed against them by customers in many states. Lousy way to try to build a company.

<<The fact is they can't do what PCLN is doing because they would have to pay tens of millions just to get a service off the ground. >>

Rod, plenty of other co's already do what PCLN is doing. And the airlines are doing it now too. WHAt do they need PCLN for now? After all, the only reason they were suppliers to PCLN was so they could get cheap PCLN stock that they could soon sell into the public float. But now that reason is gone because the stock is practically worthless.

<<I think it's safe to say you don't really understand what's involved here, not that anybody has a complete grasp of it. >>
Rod, anyone who understands what is involved with PCLN either sold long ago, shorted it, or never went near the stock in the first place. I'm in the latter group.

<<There's more going on here than just selling inventory.>>

That's true- there is massive dilution of the stock going on as well, because pcln has to - had to- give away stock to these co's to get them to provide the inventory. Then those co's sell their big blocks of pcln stock into the float. What a clever business model!!

<< They have built up an infrastructure and they have tons of web traffic coming their way. >>

And tons of losses on the way out, Rod. I can't believe you are still living this dream. Do you still believe in "visonaries" and "first mover advantage" baloney re internet retail companies?

BTW, wasn't PCLN supposed to have achieved profitability by now? Isn't that what Jay said??

Any short data you have is dated. Short covering has likely already occured, that's likley the only reason it hasn't gone to 50 cents, yet. Who knew that the terrible news was going to get even that much worse with the complete failure of Webhouse???

Boy that Walker guy really knows how to dance, eh?
