What's your take on NBC declaring all these states at this point? I would think it's still probably a little too early. However, the last time I checked Portrait of America I noticed that they still had Tennessee 45-44 over Gore. Really. Does anyone really think that on Nov. 7 Tennessee is going to vote against its native son? I think not.

I have a theory why PofA and Zogby were more accurate than the other polls four years ago. First of all, despite what you say, PofA is skewed GOP. I don't know whether this is intentional, but a reasonable poll observer would say it's skewed toward the GOP. With that said, the reason why PofA was most accurate four years ago was because a lot of people who said they were going to vote Democratic on election day did not vote. They saw that Clinton was going to win handily, so they stayed at home. End result: the race was a little tighter than Gallup and other polls had indicated, but that does not mean that Gallup was less credible. There could be different forms of turnout in this election.
