Thanks for the replies. Probably didn't make myself clear.
Color does change when a msg is visited - just doesn't stay past a couple of days unless I visit that particular thread. In turn, if I don't visit SI for a couple of days, color disappears.

So Craig, what you're saying is if I change my 'history' to 10 days, the color will stay on read msg's for 10 days, correct? I guess if that's so, netscape history must be able to access my CMOS somehow in order to know the 'timing' of my computer clock.
