At the moment you're whisling in the dark - the sort of action you envisage would only be possible after much consolidation in the gold mining industry - if for example 2 or 3 mega producers controlled 40-50% of total production.
Even then you would find there would be a delicate situation because the companies would e pitting themselves against CBs,the Fed etc who have the power to act against the ordinary citizen and prevent him owning gold.

Using OPEC,de Beers,etc. is not appropriate because the circumstance differ completely.

In the meantime producerws like Barrick are making bucket loads of money at this price. Others will have to close mines. At some point the market will anticipate and discount this - not yet apparently.
