pmg, I didn't know what you meant. But, that is the exact reason I look at cash not futures for my reads of market direction...too much speculation involved in futures. well, the negative sentiment finally won out today....no fun, not much in the markets this year. Not being a bear I don't reap the rewards from their sentiment...that's not the sign of a good trader...I prefer to look at capital preservation, that I have done. and successfully...now the expectation is the real capitulation free fall...well maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. either way we have seen a real erosion of assets and confidence. I'm still happy to buy the MSFT,INTC,LU at rock bottom prices...I never liked the YHOO'S,CMGI's of the world anyway...and they are still on my avoid list.
