You think employer contributions don't count as taxes? That's your prerogative, I guess. The year 2000 figures I have in front of me say 34% social insurance payroll taxes, 48% individual income taxes. I was recalling older figures, in 96, it was 32% social insurance payroll taxes, 39% individual income taxes, but I guess the trend is going the other way.
