Hi Redneck. I did need and did get a great big chuckle reading those February diary entries. Now we know why Pareto settled in Peru. Poor Whiner. But, if he was lucky enough to lose his life savings during the February margin call, he wouldn't have the misfortune of losing it now. (Huh?). These are "parlous times" that "try men's souls." And shark ladies, too. As all the world knows, Monday, October 9, 2000 is Columbus Day and Yom Kippur. If Arthur Cashin is right (Remember his adage, "Sell on Rosh Hashanah, Buy on Yom Kippur), Monday will be turnaround day and the market will rise again. However, there may be an unexpected complication if the market is redeemed that day. Everyone may instantly convert to Judaism or become Italian, or both. Of course, Cashin is Gaelic and what he said may be Blarney. Put on a happy face!
