Sylvester,

Now here is the cheapest price for PC133 CL2 SDRAM from crucial.

crucial.com

PC133: 128Mb CL2 = $161.09

Now remember that the PC600 parts used in a dual channel configuration (even with the i840 that uses a slow FSB but even more so in the P4 that uses a 400MHz FSB), are proven faster than anything out there.
So PC600 parts have a place in dual channel configurations.

dual channel PC600 = 2.4GB/s
dual channel PC800 = 3.2GB/s

The price that I posted from pricewatch is for name brand PC600 at $199.

As usual, you have mixed and matched your DRAM types to fit the point of view you are trying to prove.

Why did you compare PC600 vs. CAS2 PC133? That pits the cheapest and lowest performance RDRAM from the lowest priced vendor vs. the most expensive and highest performance SDRAM from a high priced vendor.

Even so, the SDRAM wins easily in price and performance. Ever seen a CAS2 PC133 vs. PC600 benchmark?

You are the biggest source of misinformation on SI.

Scumbria

BTW: Has it ever occurred to you how much additional expense goes into a dual-channel configuration? This makes your comments even more ridiculous.
