The May, 2000, closing low was 3165. We are not that far off that point if in fact that's where we need to get to in order to turn around (no assurances of that) BTW, I was reading some posts on PCLN board....Lots of people devastated financially. I wouldn't be surprised to see a wave of attorneys beginning to sue wall street firms that have hyped these .com stocks enticing laypeople to buy into them...I am aware of the mantra "buyer beware" but a part of me feels that what wall street has done in hyping (not to speak of handling the ipos' of) those stocks is downright unconscionable. I was speaking to a friend who was routinely given a small allotment of .com ipos' and the allotment was expressly contingent on him agreeing that the broker would have absolute control on when to sell the shares....He always made $$$ but the point is that by retaining control of the selling points the brokers retained control of the longer term price direction of the stock. Smacks of price fixing collusion to me...
