Introducing the Slide-O-Track, a new way to keep up with Slider's recommendations.

Since those that challenge Slider's picks are usually deluged with five pages of text full of exclamation points and caps, accused of missing out on the easy money, and otherwise derided, it seems a comparison on actual performance rather than letter count would be appropriate.

We all know that SOB's gold picks have been doing less than well, but how about the on-topic picks? Monday I challenged Slider to a gentleman's bet pitting SCSWF vs GLBL, KEG vs PGO, and PDE vs ATW - a challenge that was declined.

After five days here's the count:

SCSWF -0.8% versus GLBL -15.0%
KEG -7.0% versus PGO -5.8%
PDE -1.2% versus ATW -11.1%

Sharp down -3.0% versus SOB down -10.6%. Hardly a stellar week for either contestant.

One week does not a market make, so this story will take a while to tell. Stay tuned as the final chapter of Boom 2000 unfolds, and we see how those who care to risk credibility fare against the whims of the market.
