<what would it take for some of the frequent posters on this board to turn bullish? >

IMO A 'cresendo' of selling short term, and reasonable valuation long term. I think 99% of the reasons people are bullish today are stupid:

1.) "All that cash on the sidelines has to be put to work!"
2.) "The demographics are such that the baby boomers MUST plough all their money in the market for retirement"
3.) The economy is good and growth will continue unabated.

All these are pure bull IMO... stocks are overvalued, boomers will panic like anyone else... hell they're practically AT retirement with all those market gains! You don't think they'll go to cash?? Wake up. Besides the whole demographic argument is simply a "modified greater fool theory"... ie. buy now because others will take the market up... this has been the argument at every top in history.

Lastly.. stocks are historically FAT, not cheap.
