Hi all; DDoDDRN: Ixbt reports on two DDR motherboards from DFI:

DFI To Launch Two Socket A DDR Mainboards [12:18 pm] Rat
There appeared new information on two Socket A mainboards from DFI with DDR SDRAM support:

AD70. This is an ATX mainboard based on AMD760 chipset with VIA 686B South Bridge. It supports ATA/100. Besides, it is equipped with 2 DIMM slots supporting up to 1GB 200/266MHz DDR SDRAM, 5 PCI, 1 AGP and 1 AMR slot. There are also 4 USB ports on this board.

AD75. This ATX mainboard is based on VIA KT266 (VT8233) chipset with VIA 686B South Bridge. It is equipped with 2 DIMM slots supporting up to 1GB 200/266MHz DDR SDRAM, 5 PCI, 1 AGP and 1 AMR slot. There are also 6 USB ports and ATA/100 support on this board.

And now a few words about the time frames. AD70 will be launched this year and AD75 – in Q1 2001. This once again proves the fact that AMD will start shipping its Socket A chipset supporting DDR SDRAM before VIA, which decided to begin with DDR supporting chipsets for Intel platforms (Apollo Pro266).
