Harry! You said: In times of volatility like now. It is best to shut off your TV and radio and only look at the charts. Ultimately, you need to learn to make you own decisions and develop strategies that keep you in your comfort level. I think i'm not a very disciplined trader which has hurt me tremendously in the past and i often did not trade according what i actually know about TA and trading. Just went through the scary experience to look at the vast majority of trades i did this year because i wanted to find out why things didn't turn out to be more profitable(i'm about flat right now! )and i sometimes couldn't believe why i did that trade. I think that i get influenced by the trades of other people and have no taken some bookmarked threads off so that i'm only left with a few. I also decided for myself that i will not read SI and do active trading at the same time. WIll read after hours or when i have no intention to trade at all. It's my attempt to protect myself. It's a fine balance between the wish to learn and the necessity to isolate myself when i trade. Thanks for all the good posts and have all a great weekend. STefan
