Bill. Thanks for all the messages. Still not online with DSL. I am lucky that I got to go on the normal way again. Sheesh.

I will try again tomorrow. Maybe I will have it fixed by Monday. I think I will need some more help with this. My Win98 is certainly not cooperating. And I can think of better things to do than getting annoyed with my cpt.

The market did its thing again today. But I believe it was all this rumor mill about some financial institution getting hurt in the bond market. The brokerage house in question came out and strongly denied it. But the damage was already done. I believe CNBC should quit putting all those rumors on without having more substantial knowledge on it. Some of the traders supposedly talked about those rumors. No matter what, I guess we have to go through this Oct thing again, like the last sev. years.

Energy. Amazing how the GVT talked about there not being enough heating oil this winter. Now that they released some of the strategic oil, we are finding out that plenty of oil is being sold to other countries. After all this news got out, we suddenly seem to have enough heating oil for this winter. Figures.

Debates. Last night was pretty good. I have to say that A. Shaw had this debate under control. Maybe Lehrer will do the same next time with the presidental candidates. It was tiring to watch Gore wanting to have the last word every time.
But I do believe that the presidential debate needs to have more zip than last night. This nice guy routine does not work on that level. Bush got to bring out more that Gore really has some problems with the truth and like Cheney said last night: You ran on this stuff for Seniors in 92, 96 and now again and nothing has been done. You had eight years and now its time to go. They let Hillary fool with important matters like healthcare and we all know what happened there. It seems to be only important for an election issue.

And energy. Give me a break.

And handling foreign policy problems like Yugoslavia. Bush said in the debates that we should involve the Russians and Gore nixed it. And now they brought Russia in. So, who is more up to date on what to do in cases like that?

I could go on but won't. gg. Oh. I did my part of voting online on who was better in the debates last night. Bush got the overwhelming vote.

Again. I hope I will get this DSL installed pretty soon.

Have a nice weekend.

Got to get off here. It's getting late.

Sonny
