Patron, I was just remembering this earlier article where they said the announcement was going to be Friday. My take on it was that the announcement was bumped up to thwart any uptick in price resulting from the press coverage about them having trouble moving the juice. Also, the sudden appearance of the balance of the buyers/borrowers (and the failure to disclose the specific terms) leads me to think that they were afforded some protection for their investment.

It's just like back in August when I was saying that they would release the SPR in Sept. as to have the max effect on crude prices going into November 7th.

This administration is actually very easy to figure out - in any given situation just imagine him asking: "if no law of God or man applies to Me, what is in My best Self-interest?"

While we are on the energy topic, have you seen anything written about the energy effects if the Gore folks had their way and got rid of a bunch (all?) of the hydro projects? Bush really should have hit him harder on this during the debate along with Kyoto.

Have a good weekend, Ken.
