Ted, thanks! But the German stock markets don't look much better compared to the NASDAQ these days. Our Neuer Markt index is down for the year and down over 40% since its high in March... (the DAX is doing somewhat better, however)

Met another German (from Stuttgart) today.....he was very high on the Union....saw it as the thing that will make Europe more competitive and a better provider of services to the consumer.

Re Yahoo, it may well be effected by the dot com slowdown.....the slowdown may result in less growth of its advertising content....at least that's what everyone will be checking out when it reports. Its this concern that has caused the stock to drop 30 pts in the last 2 weeks.
