I think it went something like this. AMD went from 8% of the market @ $60ASP / $30 gross margins to 12% of the market @ $100ASP / $70 gross margins.

Unit share for Intel probably stayed about the same (AMD's market share gains mostly came from Cyrix, Apple, and Winchip) but Intel's ASP dropped from circa $210 to circa $170 - units shipped increased 12% or so which was not enough to makeup for the fall in ASPs for Intel.

Meanwhile AMD had an increasing share of a growing market at higher ASPs - and that trend looks to continue.
