To anyone who isn't aware of it, there's a book by Michael Lewis (of Liar's Poker fame) about the founding of Healtheon (more about Jim Clark, actually) called The New, New Thing. Good read. Has the triangle thing in it. For the purpose of stimulating some discussion on the thread......: What about competitors? I realize that WebMd has a large percentage of doctors already hooked up with their software, but who out there is gunning for the same market and how are they doing? I keep hearing Dr. Koop being mentioned favorably (as in how, if they're lucky, they just might escape bankruptcy and become a force). I know there's EBNX...probably a lot of other companies looking to cash in on the paperwork jungle in medicine. Will HLTH crush them?
