hi gottfried, re "laptop estimated arrival is Monday" all right! c'mon monday! re "No smiley face - where you serious?" no, i wasn't. though i'll readily admit to the fact that i had only been off the phone with the dell sales person less than one minute (last november when i ordered this machine) when i seriously began to consider upgrading from 128 to 256! lol! less than one minute!! i had to tell myself that i wasn't trying to build the ultimate desktop here, just put together a very respectable system. i still get to thinking about 256mb ram from time to time, but most folks i speak with about the added mem say it isn't really needed. perhaps when i install w2k i'll have to upgrade..... btw, check this oldie.... #reply-11853646 :) mark
