The party is over SUV owners. Grab your ankles. You've been driving around, blocking my view, putting yourself, your family, my family, and myself at risk, all while spewing pollutants and needlessly guzzling the world's energy resources as fast as you can. Now I just laugh when I fill up as you stare at the numbers flying by at your pump. Your gas bill now matches your lease payment. And thanks to Firestone and Ford, your resale value is now dirt. I wish I had a nickle for every person I saw going down the road in a 4500 lb vehicle, all by themself, while getting 12mpg, in the year 2000. Amazing.

Yagottalove that GM V8 shown on p. 16 of the annual report, in my opinion intended for production in GM pickup trucks. "Vortec" is the name of the engines they use in their trucks. And if you look closely you can see "Direct Injection" written on that SAME nameplate. OE can't do that without GM's permission, and GM wouldn't grant permission if it wasn't going to happen.
