Time for me to spend some time with Lady Silver.
Like most men I was dazzled by Miss Gold as she had
that look feel touch and haughtiness that demands
the attention reserved for things "of a higher order"
created by something "of a lower order" so that it is
possible for mankind to go places that do not exist.
Seems as if Miss Gold was run outta town by a bunch
of worthless paper riffraff taking over, these boys
controlled by a two faced man they call Uncle Sam.
These turn of events for Miss Gold caused her to join
her distance sister Lady Silver who also fell upon
bad times. As expected Lady Silver was always looked
down by Miss Gold as someone who had to work at chores
to earn their keep. Miss Gold felt her purpose in life
was to simply lay around each and every day and be admired.
Miss Gold is being "dumped" by men like go4it C. Bankes
and being replaced with those paper riffraff boys that
seem to grow from trees at a high rate, folks are asking
this lady, What can you do to justify your room & board?
Like a glamour lady that never learned how to sew cook
or clean house, she waits and wonder and hopes, and watches
her distance sister Lady Silver work her tail off and going
to school after work to learn new tasks to be able to do.
Seems like a no-brainer, marry Miss Gold who cannot help
you around the house, or Lady Silver who can actually
stand upon her own two feet and "fight" back if abandoned.
Until Miss Gold can deliver a reason why she is an object
of worth and importance, as in a protector of sort, then she
will not have a role to play and will continue to be dumped.

Its now 9pm Boston and the Middle East (oil area) looks like
a place where the lighted fuse has reached the blasting cap
and the big explosion is moments away. Planned "out of control"
might apply as the many sides in the conflict understood that
each as reached the limits of how much able to give & take,
and as such Military Power Rules, causing the side without such
to take actions and invite outside Military Power(s), of which
some(s) are willing and able to Walk a Talk.
Just to summarize your points Richard, the following.
The big difference between gold and silver...
... large gold inventory in central banks
... gold can be moved around on paper forever
... silver is a metal with [large] industrial value
... silver at low inventory
... silver can't be moved around on paper forever
There will be a day when industrial users ask their suppliers
the question "where's my silver?"
... energy crunch
... political focus is oil refinery capacity and oil supply
... the other side of the equation is demand [increasing]
... demand [increasing] = energy & power = oil & electricity
... focus on conservation, even if just political
... efficient electricial distribution & uses [electric cars]
and other efficiency improvements favor increased use
of silver and copper [large scope and quanity]
... silver may become a market king?
