"For most of us on this thread, the signals to buy QCOM came when we became aware of QCOM's commanding lead in wireless technology, and the visionary pragmatism of its senior management. Nothing has changed for me through the peaks and valleys of market ups-and-downs."

The setup I was referring to was a short term technical one. I don't know much about the company, since fundamental analysis is not my area of expertise. If you would elaborate on how you became aware of QCOM's excellence in wireless technology, and the sequence of events leading up to your decision to invest in QCOM, it would give me insight into how investors use fundamental analysis to make decisions to buy stocks.

Thanks in advance for your time.
