<ot> Hi ad - I finally got to read the article on MM [cost my $3.95, maybe I should ask MM to reimburse me :).] If anything, I would be concern more of his pundit ability than of his personal history. FWIW, the 60s was a difficult time for a lot of smart people. Once upon a time I had a close and dear friend, a Vietnam vet [he volunteered!] and a really smart person. He was almost destroyed by alcohol. The last I heard though, he got his act together, went to NYU law school and was working as a public defender up in Alaska. Who knows, he may have found peace there. Maybe b/c of witnessing this kind of personal triumph, I ve a soft spot for people who turned their lives around. But of course, his investment advice sounds pretty bad to me. The sad thing is that his investment opinions and mine crossed path a few times. I arrived at mine independent of him, but that really means I am a lousy stock picker too <SG>! At least, he can blame it on his flashback :)! Not that it is an excuse for him to give bad advice whenever he sees purple spiders all over the ceiling :)
Back to CDO, since you are a better person than me in understanding financial statement [this is an honest stmt and I mean as a compliment.] How do you see CDO pre announcement about the cash flow position [3.3B and grow to 3.7B next year.] Specifically, do you see she is cash flow positive and what impact does it have on its debt ratings etc
