| phyxter, They saw an excellent leader is one everyone looks up to and wants to follow. The very best leader is not even recognized as such though. They simply choose the very best people, empower them and let them run. The credit goes to the players and the boss looks like a figurehead. But, he built and empowered the excellent talents and they brought the bacon home. I believe Bush is that type leader. His ego will not give him any problems in selecting the best based on talent. He will choose Colon Powell, has chosen Dick Cheney and will choose others because they have the best minds, views, and understanding of the areas they are expert in. He can do that. He has already done it in choosing Cheney. In many ways, Cheney overshadows him in current knowledge. But, it isn't a threat to Bush. Gore will probably choose his people much like Clinton did. Just look at the management team selected by Clinton. Tell me there isn't better talent out there than those he has placed in power. I don't believe you can say Clinton has the best talent and minds in America on his team. Maybe the best at being bullies, being "yes" men and carrying out the cover up for his indiscretions, but not the best minds in serving America. Don't you nearly puke when you see Carville talk and put down the hardest working Americans who gain the least. Remember his great statement, "Drag a 100.00 bill through a trailer park and you will be surprised at what you will drag up." An insult to those who have the least but work hard to survive. People with little education, brainpower, self esteem or whatever but they do not deserve this democratic administration belittling them like that. I resent it. |
