I am a bit uncomfortable debating this issue because of your personal experience; I don't want to inadvertently write something that might be hurtful. We may disagree on the abortion issue, but not on your personal tragedy. Are you familiar with Alan Keyes' arguments favoring the right-to-life? Alan, as you know, is black and makes a very cogent anti-abortion argument comparing abortion to slavery. You may discover that his arguments are germane to the police issues that seem to concern you. You may disagree with Dr. Keyes and I'm pretty sure you will, but when you have the time please check out the web and see what he has to say. Then let me know what you think? Alan is unfavorably labeled in the liberal press. Unfortunately, most folks accept that label without question or knowledge of his reasoning - thus abdicating their decision making responsibilities. I assure you, he has a brilliant intellect. Now how about Gore's, suppository position on our military?
