Btw X, when it comes to genetically deformed or handicapped children who will obviously have a difficult time making it in life and competing, I'm can entirely sympathize with your position (although not knowing the details)..

This is where I'm probably more liberal (or maybe conservative) than many others since tend to look back at the "law of the jungle" in which such a handicapped child would not be able to achieve even a minimal level of self-reliance or functionality without greatly burdening the rest of the "tribe" or "herd".

For that reason, I certainly would not criminalize elective abortion for the purpose of avoiding greivously deformed children.
