PartyTime, when Al Gore and his fellow Democrats think it makes sense for truck drivers and waitresses to subsidize rich elderly people by paying for their drugs. Something is missing in brain power.

Think about this... A waitress making 20 grand a year could be paying for Warren Buffet's prescription drugs under Gore's plan! Does that make sense to you PartyTime??

It's stupid! Plain and simple. And anyone with half-a-brain would admit it.

So why don't Democrats admit Al Gore's plan is stupid. Very simple. They want to get the elderly vote. They know that elderly people vote in far greater numbers than the average population, and they're going for Florida's electoral votes. It's as simple as that. They're playing politics on the backs of hard working average americans in order to stay in power.

Anyone who has followed politics knows when the Democrats controlled the Presidency and both houses of congress they did NOTHING in regard to prescription drugs. They could have passed any darn thing they wanted to in Clinton's first two years. And it was never even addressed. Where was Al Gore then??

On the contrary, what was addressed was raising taxes on the elderly.

Stupid socialism sounds wonderful during the campaign season. Vote for us, we make this or that free. We've even had some Democrats on this thread claim prescription drugs for the elderly will be free.

In the real world. Nothing is free. And some young American will be paying for prescription drugs under Al Gore's socialistic model. We're already spending over 2 trillion dollars on government programs under the guise of helping everyone. When will we be spending enough?

Following the European model of socialism is the worst thing we could do for America. Why do you think people are fleeing those countries and coming to America? I'll tell you, it's because of opportunity. Opportunity exists because we value liberty and freedom over state control. The more power the state has, and the more money the state takes from it's citizens. The more government power grows and individual liberty shrinks.

Make no mistake. A vote for WhopperAl is a vote for bigger government and more state control over our lives. A vote for Al Gore is a vote for higher and higher taxes, more regulations, and more bureaucracy. A vote for Al Gore is a vote against liberty and freedom.

When you cut through the bull... The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans would like to see every American have the opportunity to become as wealthy as Bill Gates. And Democrats want to outlaw it because they think "it's just not fair"!

Democrats believe we have an economic pie and it's a specific unchangeable size, which only grows as long as government makes it grow. Therefore, we must slice up the pie into equal parts so it's fair.

Republicans believe the pie can be enlarged beyond our wildest imaginations, as long as liberty remains our highest ideal, our people remain free, and our government doesn't stomp on us with their oppressively high taxes, regulations, and desire for control over our lives.
