I hate to bust your balloon but you haven't seen anything yet. If Gore were elected he would become the biggest spender in American history. He has plans for scores of new programs. He has said he thinks taxes should be high. He, if he can, will tax you ever more. His tax cuts are not conventional tax cuts. They are tax deductions designed to manipulate you and your actions to conform with his goals. Most of them are phantom type promises, too. For example, if you have three children, only the first child will get the tax deduction and even then, they will take away their dependent deduction so the true dollars you get are limited. And, no help for your second child on. You will probably be paying 2.50-3.00 or more per gallon for gasoline before it is over. I don't know why the press hasn't discussed it but one of the reasons for the gas price increase is the requirement for reformulation of gasoline. Gore would tell you it only increases gasoline price by about .05 cents per gallon. However, it does much more than that. Through the EPA they are trying to force the refiners to convert to the reformulation. Right now there is only one refinery that can do it. They are trying to force the others to do the changeovers that would allow them to do the process. There is a question as to have effective it is and if it is cost effective. Gore will have other wonderful things for you. Have you ever driven a Yugo? We will get a hybrid of gasoline and battery driven vehicles. They may be very wonderful but they will probably be very expensive.
