Glenn I would love your or anyone else's comments on the following.

I have been a bit confused lately about the huge valuations being allowed of networking/telecom gear co's lke CSCO and NT, JNPR and Extreme, ect., while their major customers, the WCOMs, T, and internet service providers of the world can't get 2 dollars for a share of their stock.

The big carrier co's and ISPs are not enjoying very fat profit margins, to say the least. So if the big carrier co's and ISPs can't benefit from buying all this tech gear, then why are the makers of it still enjoying huge market caps? I know there's a big transition going on now to convert to optical, but Qwest has a big optical network, and they had to buy a phone company to get customers for it!

There was an interview with Kurt VanWagoner I read the other day. He's bearish on the WCOMs and Ts of the world, but bullish on CSCO. Who does he think is buying a lot of CSCO's product?

Anyone have any thoughts? Am I off-base here?
Victor
