I agree with your mom. Someone probably thought by spreading AMD Dell rumor in the weekend, AMD will again drop a couple point due to no announcement, kind of reverse psychology at work. I am still wondering what that 500K block trade on Friday was all about, two possible explanations, a. Market taking a dump, so certain fund manager needed cash to buy bargain stock like Priceline. b. someone's trading entirely based on TA, decided AMD above 24 early Friday was too cheap to sell, so he decided to sell at 21 7/8 and hoping it would serve as a catalyst to drive AMD closer to the proverbial gap, at this point, he and other TA traders will need to sell more to fulfill this lunacy, uh, I mean prophecy.
