Your point is a valid one, however, lets take it a step further. As govt size increases in relation to the workforce, tax loads increase in a direct relationship. Then as the percentage of employed drops in relation, the tax load increases on the workforce. There are those that a naive enough to consider govt dept transparent, but as we strive to create wealth, we see that it's not transparent at all.
