Tibco, Deloitte To Support I2's TradeMatrix

TIBCO and Deloitte Consulting Demonstrate Support for i2's TradeMatrix
Network

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq:
TIBX), a leading provider of real-time infrastructure software for
e-business, and Deloitte Consulting, one of the world's leading eBusiness
consulting firms, are teaming to enable organizations to seamlessly connect
to business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplaces. The TIBCO ActiveExchange(TM)
product suite, a B2B integration platform that rapidly enables enterprise
hubs and e-marketplaces of all sizes and technology sophistication to
connect suppliers, distributors and partners, will support i2's new open
application program interface (API) program, TradeMatrix Network API(TM). By
supporting this open XML-based standard, TIBCO and i2 customers can quickly
and easily connect their e-marketplaces and efficiently participate in the
global Internet economy. Deloitte Consulting will work with technology from
TIBCO and i2 to integrate e-marketplace solutions at customer installations.
The companies are currently demonstrating this ease-of-integration at i2's
PLANET 2000 in Booth #1605 and #615.
TIBCO has been working with i2 for a number of years to provide scalable,
reliable, high-availability supply chain solutions at over a dozen major
corporations. It was recently announced by i2 at its eDay event that TIBCO
was one of the first partners to join i2's TradeMatrix Network API program.
"Integration is key to the success of e-marketplaces," said Keith Goldstein,
vice president of corporate alliances for TIBCO Software. "i2's open
TradeMatrix Network API solution provides a standard interface that will
help companies easily integrate their marketplaces with others. As we
jointly build scalable supply chain communities that span the globe, TIBCO's
line of industrial-strength e-commerce infrastructure products and Deloitte
Consulting's experience in e-businesses strategies and supply chain
management will be excellent complements to i2's portfolio of intelligent
e-business solutions."
Deloitte Consulting and TIBCO have been working together worldwide to bring
real-time, mission-critical, e-business infrastructure technology to a
variety of industries, including energy, high-tech manufacturing, financial
services, health care and telecommunications. The combination of i2's
TradeMatrix platform, TIBCO's scalable, fault-tolerant B2B and enterprise
application integration technology, and Deloitte Consulting's industry and
technical experience, provides a very powerful force for the global
deployment of enterprise customers.
"The wide adoption of standards are essential for enabling trading partners
to seamlessly pass complex transactions and data among multiple exchanges,"
said Larry Calabro, Deloitte Consulting's principal and global leader for
the middleware practice. "The combination of TIBCO's, i2's and Deloitte
Consulting's respective technology and services solutions will make it
easier for companies and e-marketplaces to efficiently connect to all of
their trading partners in real-time, and reap the benefits of the global
economy."
"We are excited to be able to leverage Deloitte Consulting's global presence
and experience with both i2 and TIBCO technology to create and seamlessly
integrate powerful turnkey solutions for our mutual customers, and help them
connect through their e-business value chain with suppliers and end-users in
real-time," said Peter Smith, Deloitte Consulting's principal responsible
for the i2 Technologies practice and relationship.
"One of the greatest challenges that companies face when participating in
collaborative business-to-business commerce is ensuring the seamless
connection of cross-company processes, systems and data," said Fred Meyer,
chief marketing officer for TIBCO Software. "Through our support of leading
standards like TradeMatrix Network API and our strategic alliance with
Deloitte Consulting, TIBCO is helping companies of all sizes and technology
sophistication automate their cross-company business processes in real-time
and optimize their supply chains, thereby speeding and easing their entry
into e-marketplaces."
