Hi,

Right off the bat...

1) If he was running Windows 95 on his computer, chances are that he doesn't have the hardware required to either; run Windows ME properly, or take advantages of the new features of Windows ME. Make sure you take a look at the hardware requirements of ME first.

2) As far as I know, you won't have any issues upgrading from 95 to ME as long as you use the full upgrade version of ME, and not the special promotional product that is only good for upgrades from Windows 98.

3) Backup your data before the upgrade. Whenever it's critical that an upgrade go smoothly... it won't.

4) Backup your data before the upgrade. Whenever it's critical that an upgrade go smoothly... it won't. (it was worth repeating)

Good luck,

Rich
