It is my great pleasure to introduce our company and the ViaPay vision.
We are positioning ViaPay to provide the first eCommerce shopping, payment and fulfilment system with true global reach. I am particularly grateful for this chance to showcase our company and system so that others may share the opportunity to capitalize on its obvious potential.
Simply put, ViaPay is the first system to supply all the missing links in eCommerce sought by consumers, financial institutions and merchants. It allows consumers to freely transact without concern for the security of their funds, purchases or personal data. It restores the banks' relevance as financial intermediaries and provides them with revenue-generating settlement systems. It also furnishes merchants with the means to penetrate foreign markets economically and hassle-free.
It is safe to say that ViaPay is without peer anywhere in the world.
While numerous secure systems and schemes have been launched locally, none have the universal applicability, ease-of-use and appeal of ViaPay. As long-time experts with settlement systems, we designed ViaPay to overcome all the shortcomings of existing systems and to unlock the vast potential of online commerce. Our bank-centric approach will be the key to rapid growth. ViaPay adds value to the existing relationships and goodwill that banks have established with their customers, providing the instant credibility that other eCommerce challengers lack. With the first-mover advantage and barriers to entry, we are confident that we can maintain a lead in this field over the long-term.
We have taken equal care to make the company robust too. Our management team has the skills, relevant experience and connections to turn the concept into reality. It features a mix of seasoned business professionals and some of the world's most experienced electronic payments specialists. Recognizing the potential of the ViaPay concept, each manager has joined the company from a senior post in the international business arena, encompassing the banking, credit card, payment processing, transaction security and information technology sectors. In addition, they have the language skills to create and maintain business at the highest-levels in the initial target markets.
On the technology side, we have selected a model independent of suppliers and input devices so that we are never held hostage to any one company or technology. Multiple revenue streams, including the various fees, investment income and foreign exchange gains, will ensure that our Return on Investment meets investor expectations. In addition, we are well placed to secure financing to fund the initial start-up and early phases of our marketing plan.
With a market estimated to grow to 500 million people by 2003, the potential for ViaPay is staggering.
We are determined to be the primary eCommerce solution provider to this global clientele. We will start with the appropriate steps to build the foundation for rapid growth in the later phases of our expansion.
